One of our acquaintences in Karachi came down with COVID-19. She was taken to AKUH. AKUH refused to admit her until Rs. 1.2 million was deposited by her family. She passed away the very next day and the hospital refused to refund anything. The family paid Rs. 1.2 million to Aga Khan Hospital for her death.
