AKUH victims are everywhere. When my sister passed away after the criminal negligence shown by Dr. Ashfaq of Gastro Department at AKUH, I was shocked to see the department protect and defend the unprofessional attitude of that physician. In addition, the hospital blamed my sister that why she did not suggest the treatment options herself. Has anyone heard such a reckless and thoughtless argument from a “world class” hospital? Recently, AKUH vowed to probe a case of negligence but in the initial reaction, put the blame on the son of the deceased for making noise disturbing other patients (https://www.dawn.com/news/1311067). When someone’s father has passed away, what kind of reaction is expected? I have decided to provide this forum to expose the incompetence and unprofessional behavior of AKUH, Karachi. This blog will continue until AKUH Karachi improves itself and penalizes the inept doctors.
