The callous attitude

The AKUH administration has demonstrated a callous and careless attitude towards patients and  their families time and again.When you approach them with any type of complaint against their physicians, the first and only response from them is to deny any wrongdoing at the hands of their physicians. They then try to blame the patient for any problem. This attitude has to change and it must change for good. The neutrality of the physicians investigating any such case of negligence should be above and beyond any doubt. All the complaints and their reports must be made public on AKUH website. Filing complaint should be established as a clear and visible  process.

  1. I am surprised how the distinguished BoT of the hospital keeping mum on all the excesses the hospital staff are doing? Also, where is MoH, GoP? No one is taking notice? Even public is still rushing to the hospital thinking they will be treated as per their expectations? FYI, the hospital cafes are doing roaring business too, thanks to the “blind trust” people have in the hospital doctors and staff. Sadly it has become a prestige issue for Pakistanis to “get treated” in AKUH and for the relatives to visit them there. What a false pride this society has plunged into. The public is to be blamed for such callousness adopted by AKUH. If they stop going there, the BoT and the management may wake up.
